If pine scents have put you off before, Ponderosa will change your mind. Notes of warm wood and sticky pine resin with butterscotch, honey, and citrus, and a sweet anise thread underneath - soft and round, nothing like the sharp stereotypical pine scent many expect.

This roller is our own 100% pure Ponderosa Pine essential oil, pre-diluted in organic fractionated coconut oil and ready to wear. Roll it on for a warm, sweet scent that evokes memories of the dry side of the Pacific Northwest.

Aroma: warm wood, ambered resin, citrus, vanilla and honey undertone, subtle anise, not a sharp pine profile.

Botanical: Pinus ponderosa, needles and twig tips.

Method: steam distilled essential oil in a pre-diluted roller.

Ponderosa Pine defines the dry, open forests east of the Cascades and across much of the interior West. Its thick, puzzle-like bark and tall, widely spaced stands reflect an ecology shaped by frequent low-intensity fire. Culturally it is a hallmark western lumber species. The aroma leans to warm wood and ambered resin with natural citrus and honey undertones and a subtle anise seed note, not the sharp “pine” many expect.

I love the pine forest. Grew up in them and miss the smell of the ponderous, cedar, and Douglas Fir. These essential oils and hysrosol are excellent.
