The brightest of our five evergreen species. Douglas-fir opens with notes of lemon-lime, with sticky fir sap and a clean sweet finish - the scent most PNW natives grew up around. Incredibly nostalgic, and brighter and more lemony than you'd expect from a traditional evergreen.

This is 100% pure Douglas-fir essential oil, steam-distilled in small batches right here in Oregon from fresh needles & twigs. One species per bottle - no blends, no fragrance oils, no carrier. Add a few drops to a diffuser, and transport yourself back to the forests of the PNW.

100% Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) essential oil.

Diffuse 4 to 6 drops per 100 mL water. For topical use, dilute to 1 to 2 percent in a carrier oil, about 6 to 12 drops per ounce, and patch test first. For home scenting, add a drop to an unscented wool dryer ball or a cotton pad for linens, avoiding direct contact with finished wood and plastics.

For external use only. Always dilute before skin use. Avoid eyes and mucous membranes. Not for use on pets. Keep out of reach of children. Flammable; keep away from heat and flame. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult a qualified professional before use. Store tightly capped in a cool, dark place.

It is fast growing, long-lived, and a defining timber species as well as a classic Christmas tree. The aroma is our brightest and sharpest conifer profile, with a distinct lemon–lime top note over a sweet, resinous Christmas tree character.
