On a warm day, the bark of a big Ponderosa Pine smells like butterscotch and vanilla down in the furrows, and the essential oil carries that character. This spray has notes of warm wood and sticky pine resin, citrus, butterscotch, and honey, with a sweet anise note underneath. Soft and round - nothing like the sharp stereotypical pine scent many expect.

It's made with our own Ponderosa Pine essential oil, distilled here in Oregon. No fragrance oils. What you smell is the Ponderosa Pine essential oil, no other scent added. Shake it well and mist a room, a blanket, or the entryway for a warm, sweet evergreen scent.

The warmest and sweetest of our five sprays. For anyone missing the dry side of Oregon, and for the people who think they don't like pine.

Scent: warm wood, ambered resin, and citrus with natural vanilla and honey and a subtle anise seed note. Not a sharp pine profile.

The two sizes are currently bottled from different recipes.

1 oz bottles: Water, Polysorbate 80, Organic Cane Alcohol, Pinus ponderosa (Ponderosa pine) Essential Oil, Benzyl Alcohol, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid.

4 oz bottles: Organic Cane Alcohol (Ethyl Alcohol), Water, Ponderosa Pine (Pinus ponderosa) essential oil, Vegetable Glycerin.

A light layer can form at the top as the essential oil rises. Shake before each use to mix it back in. Spray 2 to 4 mists into the air or onto textiles from 8 to 12 inches away. Spot test on an inconspicuous area before spraying fabrics. Avoid silk and leather. Do not spray directly on skin or face.

For external use only. Avoid eyes and mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not use on pets or pet bedding. Store tightly capped at room temperature, away from heat and sunlight.

Ponderosa Pine defines the dry, open forests east of the Cascades and across much of the interior West. Its thick, puzzle-like bark and tall, widely spaced stands reflect an ecology shaped by frequent low-intensity fire. Culturally it is a hallmark western lumber species. The aroma leans to warm wood and ambered resin with natural citrus and honey undertones and a subtle anise seed note, not the sharp “pine” many expect.

Scent of the forest

This room spray is so lovely. Has a bit of a grassy note to start that warms into wonderful piney notes. Highly recommend!

Disappointed

I was so excited to receive my Ponderosa pine room spray. I shook it. Well it was a bit cloudy, and spritz it on curtains, bed, linens in the air, etc., about 10 spritzes in my bedroom. After five minutes, I could not smell it. I asked my girlfriend to do the same after I did a test spritz 10 more sprays and she thought maybe she detected a little cinnamon in the air. Lovely smell just so we could goes away within minutes. Hope you can strengthen this.

I’m sorry to hear that this didn’t meet your expectations, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Our room sprays do not contain synthetic fragrances or fixatives and are not intended to be permanent. That said, if you sprayed 10 spritzes in a small space, you should be overwhelmed by the scent after 5 minutes, which indicates to me that something may have gone wrong here. I harvest, distill, bottle, and pack every ounce of product myself, so I take full responsibility if an error was made. We will absolutely make it right if that is the case.

In regard to the smoky appearance, this is the intended appearance of our water-based room spray. You should have received an insert in your package explaining that the white color comes from our vegetable-based emulsifier that allows essential oils to mix with water. In the last two weeks, we have moved to an alcohol-based formula (more similar to perfume) which is clear in appearance.

I will follow up with you privately to ensure we make this right. Thank you again for your feedback, and I sincerly apologize if we have made an error.

Mellow, Sweet Earthiness

There aren't a lot of Ponderosa Pines in the woods that I regularly walk but upon first spray of this room spray, I recognized the unique notes of sweet spice, pine, bark- warm with a bright citrusy finish.

A scent of home

I absolutely love the Ponderosa room spray. I spray it in the air next to my AC unit intake and my whole house starts smelling like Central Oregon on a hot summer day. I will definitely be supporting this small business.

I lived in Shingletown California and absolutely loved it there

I lived in Shingletown California and absolutely loved it there. I now live in Upstate New York and miss the forests of California, so when I saw an advertisement for Rogue Evergreens I had to try it. I ordered the discovery pack of room sprays, and as soon as I smelled the Ponderosa Pine I was instantly transported back to California and onto Mt. Lassen. I loved living there so much. The scent is true and simply beautiful. I immediately ordered a larger bottle and the essential oil as well. Great job Hunter and crew!!

Product Review

Product packaging was qualitative and very attractive. Product itself was highly fragrant initially and authentic; however, the fragrance didn’t linger as long as I had hoped it would.

Smells very alcoholic

Great scent. Does not seem to last as long as I hoped per spray, but just need to spray a bit more, or more often. Definitely better than other generic pine scents.

This spray is awesome! I love that it’s completely non toxic, and makes my house smell woodsy. My kids love it too, and I don’t have to worry about disrupting the air quality in my home. It is reminiscent of the woods in Colorado when the sun hits the trees and warms the bark. A little piece of home in a bottle.
