In the best way, this scent took me back to when I was a kid and we'd bring in real trees for Christmas. It smells so good and fresh and is genuinely indistinguishable from the real thing.

I didn't realize forest scents could be this accurate. Each one has been so precise that it transports me to wandering the woods of my youth. I like to mix these body oils with unscented lotion after each shower. The smell lasts most of the day.

I really got this for the name. I never knew it was a tree until I got to Tahoe. Another beautiful tall pine with that wonderful fragrance. These will all make for wonderful Christmas presents and remind everyone of sitting around the TV and watching Bonanza! It means a lot that you do all this on your own. All of it. Makes it all so personal and happy to be shopping w/you rather than a corporation that makes everything in China. Made in AMERICA! You have my continued support.
Thank you so much Lorraine! The Ponderosa is one of my personal favorites for exactly the reason you're describing - that warm, resinous sweetness is nothing like what most people expect from a pine. The Tahoe connection makes total sense; those big old Ponderosas along the eastern Sierra are something else entirely. And yes, making it all by hand, start to finish, is the whole point - so grateful for your support and kind words!

Loved the Douglas Fir. Was just what I had in mind. Walking through the woods in the Eastern Sierra, I would pull softly on the branches just to get that smell on my hands. Takes me back to happier times. Thanks, Hunter. Keep up the great work, I'll be ordering again before Christmas.

I LOVE this body oil! I already had a roller so I knew I loved the smell but the texture of the oil is equally impressive - light and moisturizing.

I also got the Douglas fir and it was exactly what I wanted. Helps to know what the trees actually smell like to start with. It does fade a little quicker than the synthetic kinds. That's because it's all natural. I love it.
Thank you so much Daniel! You've got it exactly right - conifer essential oils don't have synthetic fixatives, so they won't linger the way a synthetic fragrance does. That's just the nature of the real thing. Really glad it hit the mark for you!

I wondered when purchasing if this would come off as too “Christmas” for the summer - but the scent is nuanced, very natural, all about the forest and feeling connected to the PNW woods. Feels great and nourishing on the skin… not overwhelming at all … promotes a centered “vibe”. Love it.

On the scent duration - worth knowing that our body oils use pure conifer essential oils with no synthetic fixatives, so they are naturally lighter and shorter-lived than a synthetic fragrance. The Ponderosa is one of the warmer, longer-staying of the five (that vanilla and resin base helps), but it still won't match a synthetic. Glad the scent itself is landing - we appreciate your support!

This oil is divine. I layer it with Ponderosa Pine body oil. It has a natural, earthy spice but fresh scent that is grounding and uplifting at once. It absorbs beautifully with a smooth finish.

I purchased both the Douglas-Fir and Noble Fir Body Oils hoping they would have that beautiful, sweet pine scent you smell when walking through a pine forest. NOT !!! Do not waste your money. Both of these body oils smell nothing like pine. They smell more like lemon grass. On top of that, they both made my skin break out in a rash that I still have not recovered from.

We take reports of irritation seriously, and we will review both products carefully once they are returned. In the meantime, please stop use and if irritation persists, consider checking in with a clinician.

the incense cedar body oil is one of the best pine smells I have ever encountered. I bought a body oil sample set, and they are all very nice and mixed is really special. this is better than some pine smells I had in colognes, and I've often wondered what diff pine trees smell like. I would like to smell every pine tree separately now, thanks for these fun and great smelling body oils.

For guys who do not like pine-scented oils, Ponderosa Pine will surprise you.
The warm honey and anise notes gave me the opportunity to experience a pine species that isn’t native to my part of the country. After trying this oil, I would plant a Ponderosa Pine in my backyard if they’d grow here!
