Scented exclusively with our own Ponderosa Pine essential oil, distilled right here in Oregon. Warm wood and sticky pine resin, with notes of butterscotch, honey, and citrus, and a sweet anise thread underneath. Soft and sweet, nothing like the sharp stereotypical pine many expect - because there's nothing synthetic in it.

The base is where the quality shows: olive squalane, the featherweight moisturizer absorbs fast and won't clog pores, with camellia (green tea) seed oil and rosehip for a silky, deeply hydrating finish. A few pumps on damp skin lock in moisture with no greasy feel (full blend under Ingredients), and the scent stays close and fades sooner than a synthetic would. That's how you know it's real.

No synthetic fragrance or dyes.

Organic jojoba oil, olive squalane, organic camellia seed oil, organic meadowfoam seed oil, organic rosehip seed oil, Ponderosa Pine (Pinus ponderosa) essential oil, tocopherol (vitamin E).

Massage a small amount into clean, damp skin after a shower or bath, or anytime skin needs light moisture. Start with a few drops per arm or leg and add as needed. Allow to absorb before dressing. Patch test before first use and avoid broken or irritated skin. Keep away from eyes and sensitive areas.

For external use only. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Store tightly capped at room temperature, away from heat and sunlight. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult a qualified professional before use.

Ponderosa Pine defines the dry, open forests east of the Cascades and across much of the interior West. Its thick, puzzle-like bark and tall, widely spaced stands reflect an ecology shaped by frequent low-intensity fire. Culturally it is a hallmark western lumber species. The aroma leans to warm wood and ambered resin with natural citrus and honey undertones and a subtle anise seed note, not the sharp “pine” many expect.

Exactly What It's Named After

I didn't realize forest scents could be this accurate. Each one has been so precise that it transports me to wandering the woods of my youth. I like to mix these body oils with unscented lotion after each shower. The smell lasts most of the day.

Ponderosa Pine.

I really got this for the name. I never knew it was a tree until I got to Tahoe. Another beautiful tall pine with that wonderful fragrance. These will all make for wonderful Christmas presents and remind everyone of sitting around the TV and watching Bonanza! It means a lot that you do all this on your own. All of it. Makes it all so personal and happy to be shopping w/you rather than a corporation that makes everything in China. Made in AMERICA! You have my continued support.

The Tahoe connection makes total sense; those big old Ponderosas along the eastern Sierra are something else entirely. On the scent duration - worth knowing that our body oils use pure conifer essential oils with no synthetic fixatives, so they are naturally lighter and shorter-lived than a synthetic fragrance. The Ponderosa is one of the warmer, longer-staying of the five (that vanilla and resin base helps), but it still won't match a synthetic. Glad the scent itself is landing - we appreciate your support!

For guys who do not like pine-scented oils, Ponderosa Pine will surprise you.

The warm honey and anise notes gave me the opportunity to experience a pine species that isn’t native to my part of the country. After trying this oil, I would plant a Ponderosa Pine in my backyard if they’d grow here!
